How to prevent under eye creasing
Dear WOFTW,
I have a serious problem. Whenever I apply my make-up and concealer under my eyes, after a while it starts to crack and it makes me look old. How do I get that nice, flawless look with no cracks? Please help me.
No Cracks
Hey, No cracks,
I know exactly what you are talking about. Cracking, or creasing, is a major problem that many women face, especially under the eyes. Letâs start at the beginning. The under-eye skin is very thin and cannot be treated as you would treat other parts of the face; you must be very gentle. The key to eliminating this problem is moisture. You need to start a night and day time moisturizer regimen if you donât already have one.
Less is always more when it comes to that area, so do not apply anything other than a generous amount of your day moisturizer under your eyes before your make-up application. Leave it a few minutes. Apply your concealer and make sure that your sponge or brush is damp (I prefer a sponge).
Tilt your head down or look up and gently tap the concealer to cover the under-eye area. Be very careful if you bake, because that can also dry out the under-eye area; so, if youâre going to bake, then make sure the area is well moisturized. And there you have it.
I hope this helps.
