The Fuller Lip Effect

Some of us were not blessed with plump voluptuous lips, but that doesn’t mean that we can’t get them at the drop of a dime. There are many ways that you can achieve this look and I’ll show you just how simple it is.

Your first option is by overdrawing your natural lip line. This simply means that your use a lip liner of the colour of your lipstick and draw above your lip and then apply your lipstick.{{more}} If your upper lip is the thinner one, then overdraw that one. If it’s both lips, then do both. DO NOT go too far above the lip line, because this will give you the “clown effect”. This look can be easily ombred.

If this isn’t working for you, then you can use a darker lip liner, outline your lip and make slanted vertical lines on your lip. Choose a shade of liner that isn’t too dark, as it will be too hard to blend.

Another way you can make your lips appear larger is by using a white/ lighter shade in the middle of your lips. This works just like contouring. Apply the white liner/lipstick first to the lip, then your lip gloss or lipstick over, making sure that it is blended at the edges well. If the lipstick is thick, I prefer to apply the white after and blend, blend, blend.
