Reducing the appearance of Oily Make-up
Having oily skin may discourage you from wearing make-up, especially if you wear it on a daily basis. Thankfully, there are a few things that you can try to keep your make-up on your face while reducing the shine.
DONâT OVERDO POWDER
Although applying a lot of powder may seem like a way to combat oily make-up, {{more}}going overboard with your powder application only forces your pores to produce more oil. A little matte formula powder goes a long way.
CARRY BLOTTING PAPER
Blotting sheets simply lift the oil from your skin. The trick to using blotting papers without taking off all of your make-up is to press the paper where youâre oily and then roll it off your skin, instead of rubbing the paper on your skin.
ALWAYS PRIME YOUR SKIN BEFORE APPLYING MAKE-UP
Using a makeup primer helps everything stay put. Prime the oiliest areas of your face (the T-Zone: forehead, nose and chin) after youâve cleaned your face, but always before you put on foundation, powder or other make-up.
