The Mascara Life
I have found that no matter how finished you think your look is, itâs never done until you have some mascara on. This stands between regular eyelashes and lashes with oomph. Letâs start with choosing the right mascara for you.{{more}}
Now generally there are three types of eyelash needs: volume, length and curling.
If your lashes are long and donât curl for life, not even with an eyelash curler, then curling is where your needs lie.
If you have long lashes, then what you need is thickness, so get one that gives volume.
And of course, if your lashes are already thick, but you lack the length, then lengthening is the key.
Once youâve made your selection, youâre going to want to know how to apply it. If you have an eyelash curler, curl your lashes first. Take your mascara and make two to four dips with the wand, so that the bristles are evenly coated. This is where it gets a little tricky. Tilt your head down and apply mascara to the bottom lashes first (to avoid any mess on your eyelid from your upper lashes), making sure to zigzag from root to tip and NEVER reverse. Tilt your head backwards so you can see your upper lashes best. Apply the mascara in the same fashion. Make about three swipes, one in the middle, the inner and outer to really fan out your lashes. When it dries you can apply another coat if you really want that false lash look.
