Tribute to Mr Victor Dikie Decouteau
Forty years in the teaching profession, his last work was at Overland.
A father, brother and mentor to everyone, couldnât find a better friend in my opinion.
A fun loving guy was Dikie; School was like his own family.
Watch him cooking, baking or frying; Victor was right at home in the kitchen.
A helpful, caring and loving friend, he gave free Common Entrance classes to schoolchildren.
Victor took his work very seriously, a sticker for regularity and punctuality.
His last arrival time was 7:30, seldom absent from school was he.
Typing projects, helping out with tests, whatever the task, he did his best.
Count on him for the latest happening, he would give you a remedy for almost anything.
Many families did Victor assist, Dikie was humble, Dikie was kind, gone from us at only fifty-nine.
He lived alone, no children of his own, but they were always at his home.
His favourite colour was white, as if he had Heaven in sight.
On earth he worked so hard, May God grant him his due reward.
Being around Victor was so much fun, never a dull moment when he was around.
Now that his life on earth is over, memories of him will be with us forever.
