Compton is stand-alone National Men’s 60m record holder

Mc Kish Compton lowered his personal best and the all-time St Vincent and the Grenadines record in the men’s 60 meters, when he clocked 6.67 seconds last Saturday, March 1, 2025 at the GC Foster College track in Spanish Town, Jamaica.

Compton running under the Sprint Tec banner, had entered the record books on February 22, 2025, when he timed 6.69s at the Gibson/ Mc Cook Relays, staged at the Jamaica National Stadium.

The 6.69 seconds saw Compton sharing the record with another Jamaica-based Vincentian athlete, Earl Simmons, who achieved his feat in 2024.

Apart from his own stand-alone record in the 60m, Compton is part of the quartet that has the St Vincent and the Grenadines 4 x100m men’s outdoor record.

Completing the record making four, are Javon Rawlins, OJ Jackson and Akani Slater.
