After four days of competition, it was the Blue Marlins Swim Club that was able to pop the champagne, when the 2025 Shrewsbury Aquatic Centre (SAC) Gallagher Invitational Swim Championships ended on Sunday, February 24, 2025.
However, it was not as commanding as their previous titles, as Blue Marlins were bettered by only 68 points over archrivals Black Sands Swim Squad.
Blue Marlins accumulated 1391 points and Black Sands- 1323.
Blue Marlins also had the advantage in the individual age categories, as they pouched six medals to Black Sands’ four.
Among Blue Marlins’ age group titles, was their domination in the 8-years and Under, won by Raya Adams and Zane Dabriel, who took the boys and girls accolades respectively.
Saj Caesar won the Male 9-10; Belle Adams, the Female 11-12; Jadon Hamilton copped the Male 13-14; and Hazen Dabriel, the Male 15 and Over.
For Black Sands’ Nua Griffith took the Female 9-10; Kione De Shong won the Male 11-12; with Eltonique Leonard inking her name on the trophy in the Female 13-14 age group.
