Amiyah Bascombe tops Karate points rankings
Top Under-14 female karateka, Amiyah Bascombe, enters the 2025 calendar with the most points following the release of the rankings by the Hairouna Karate Federation (HFK). She goes into the year on 2378 points.
Bascombe, who is the National Under-14 female Kata and Kumite winner, took her talents to the International Karate Daigaku (IKD) World Cup, held in Guyana last July where she won gold in the 11-13 Browne Belt Individual Kata.
Next in terms of points is Liam Bollers, who leads the Male Under- 12 age group with 1720 points. Rishawn Roache follows on 1493 points; he is the top Cadet Male.
On 1395 points is Claude Bascombe Jr, who leads the Senior Male category.
Meanwhile, Ari Da Silva on 968 points is the number one ranked Under-12 Female karateka here in St Vincent and the Grenadines, while J- Don Matthews leads the Under-21 Female segment on 923 points.
Heading the Junior Male category on 850 points is Christian Joseph, with Jaden Guy- 533 points, being the Male Under-14 top ranked karateka.
Nathalia Greaves is ranked number one in the Female Under-10, on 345 points.
According to the HKF, the karatekas enter 2025 with half of the points accumulated from their tallies gained in 2024.
