National Football Championships’ reset to start today
Unfavourable weather conditions last Sunday, November 24, 2024, forced the postponement of the commencement of the country’s premier Football tournament, the National Club Championships.
However, the championships will get going this Tuesday, November 26, at the Victoria Park.
The re-scheduled opening, however, has not affected the fixtures.
From 6:00 p.m, – Je Belle faces Camdonia- Chelsea, and from 8:00 p.m, North Leeward Predators take on SV United.
Action will return to Victoria Park on Wednesday, November 27, when another double header is slated.
Sion Hill and Layou meet from 6:00 p.m, followed by Hope International against BESCO- Pastures.
The other clubs in the Premier Division are Awesome and Avenues.
The National Club Championships return after a one year break, because of administrative setbacks namely, the protracted elective congress of the St Vincent and the Grenadines Football Federation.
Therefore, the 2024-2025 championships kick off with the Premier Division, with the other divisions set for commencement in January, 2025.
