Players rewarded for excellence in SVGCC’s Invitational Football contest
Following last Friday night’s final in the National Lotteries Authority Unique Touch Soccer SVG Community College Invitational Football Competition at the Victoria Park, there was the award ceremony, recognizing the top performers of the 2024 edition.
Among the awardees was Trent Ragguette of Sports Science Soon Grads, who was adjudged the MVP of semi-final one, while MVP of semi final two was Ajay Delpesche of Jebelle Youths.
Taking the MVP award in the third place play off was Denzel Bascombe of System Three Youths.
Rewarded for scoring the best goal in the competition was Gabriel Jackson of DASGS Year One.
Taking away the most goals in the competition was Denzel Bascombe, who scored 10 goals.
The MVP of the final was Cori Durrant of Sport Sciences Soon Grads. Best Goalkeeper, Anthony Hazell of
Sport Sciences Soon Grads; Best Defender, Pharon Durham of Sport Sciences Soon Grads; with the Best
Midfielder awardee being Delano Benjamin of Sport Sciences Soon Grads; and Best Striker, Lenroy Dalzell of Jebelle Youths .
The overall MVP was Delano Benjamin. There were also awards for the MVP and Most Improved players of all the teams that participated in the tournament.
