SVGCC Football Finals this Friday

Sports Science Soon Grads and Je Belle Youths will contest the final of the St Vincent and the Grenadines Community College Invitational Football Competition from 7:00 p.m today, November 15, 2024, at the Victoria Park.

The result will usher in a new champion, following the ousting of System Three, the 2023 winners.

The two earned the right to meet in the title match, following semi- final wins on Tuesday, at the Sion Hill Playing Field. Sports Science Soon Grads defeated System Three 7-6 on penalties, after a 2-2 draw in regulation time.

James Grant and Delano Benjamin scored for Sports Science Soon Grads, while Jahiem Kirby and Shemron

Phillips netted for System Three as they battled, before the decisive penalty kicks.

Jebelle Youths then took down Sports Sciences Freshers 5-3. Ajay Delpesche scored a hat trick, with a goal each coming from Jahva Audain and Lenroy Dalzell, to account for Je Belle’ s tally.

Shayne Lynch, Jmar Saunders and Julanus Gaymes netted for Sports Sciences Freshers. Prior to the final, Freshers and System Three will meet in the third -place play-off.
