Lucky Antrobus leads Keep Fit Cycling Road Race
Lucky Antrobus clipped Zefal Bailey and Gabriel Doyle, to top the St Vincent and the Grenadines Cycling Union’s Keep Fit Road Race last Sunday, September 8, 2024.
Antrobus timed 3:10.9.46, to be the first to reach the end line at Casson Hill. Following him was Bailey- 3:16.55.73; and Doyle- 3:16.55.97.
The trio were the ones to complete the 56.6 miles race, which began at the Tarmac at the decommissioned E.T Joshua Airport, and took the cyclists in a north eastern direction to Tourama. They then made a loop to Mount Young, before a return to the Windward Highway, finishing at Casson Hill.
Antrobus, Bailey and Doyle will be joined by other local cyclists and regional competitors from Barbados, Grenada and St Lucia on Sunday, September 22, 2024, as the SVG Cycling Union stages an Open Invitational event.
Indications from the local cycling organization, is that the Invitational Championships will follow the same route, except for an addition loop.
Competition is expected in the junior and senior segments.
