SVG sends quartet to ECVA U-21 Beach Volleyball
The St Vincent and the Grenadines Volleyball Association (SVGVA), has named four players- two males and two females, to contest the 2024 Eastern Caribbean Volleyball Association (ECVA) Under-21 Beach Volleyball Championships, at the Marriott Beach, in St Kitts and Nevis, from August 30 to September 1.
Named are Tariq Duncan and Damari Frederick, who will play in the Men’s Division, and the pair of Nayelli Fergus and Reanna Robinson, who pit their skills in the Women’s category.
The male Vincentian duo will be coached by Ronaldo Franklyn, while Nikita Campbell- Cumberbatch, coaches the females.
Ducan and Frederick are in Pool A, while Fergus and Robinson are in Pool B. Thirteen teams are in both the Men’s and Women’s segments, with host St Kitts and Nevis featuring three teams in each gender.
Prior to the start of today’s championships, teams and coaches were engaged in a technical workshop. The participating countries are Anguilla, Antigua and Barbuda, Bermuda, British Virgin Islands, Dominica, Grenada, Saba, St Eustacius, St Kitts and Nevis, St Lucia and St Vincent and the Grenadines.
The championships are used as qualifiers the next FIVB Beach Volleyball Under-21 World Championships, which take place in Georgia, USA in July, 2025.
