Kesrick Williams named in WI Legends team

Vincentian, Kesrick Williams has been named as part of a West Indies Legends team for Championships set to take place in Birmingham England, next month.

Williams, 34, a right arm medium fast bowler, has played eight One Day Internationals (ODIs), and 26 Twenty/20 Internationals for the West Indies.

Apart from the West Indies, Williams has represented the Windward Islands in first class and List A matches, as well as the West Indies A and the Combined Campuses and Colleges.

He however, has made his name playing for T/20 franchises in the Caribbean Premier League, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, the USA and Canada.

The full West Indies Legends Squad reads: Chris Gayle ( Captain); Daren Sammy; Samuel Badree; Kirk Edwards; Ravi Rampaul; Navin Stewart; Jason Mohammed; Ashley Nurse; Dwayne Smith; Sulieman Benn; Chadwick Walton; Jerome Taylor; Fidel Edwards; Johnathan Carter; and Kesrick Williams.

The West Indies open their campaign in the championships on July 4, 2024, versus Pakistan.

The other teams in the championships are England, Australia, India, and South Africa.
