Moeth Gaymes gets another major appointment

FIFA-appointed referee, Vincentian Moeth Gaymes will be the man in charge of the first leg of the Caribbean Cup final, this Thursday, November 30.

The final, set for the Franklin Essed Stadion in Parimaibo, Suriname, features club – Robin Hood versus Cavalier of Jamaica.

This latest appointment according to Gaymes, represents another step in the rung, as he aims to officiate at the highest levels of Concacaf matches, inclusive of the Gold Cup and Scotiabank Champions League.

Gaymes, who is part of Concacaf’s Targetted Advanced Referee Programme, said that his progression will inspire other Football referees to reach to his level and even surpass him.

Gaymes is the lone Vincentian that is a FIFA appointed referee. St Vincent and the Grenadines however has two FIFA Assistant Referees – Denroy Barker and Kenran Daniel.

The trio’s latest outing was in the Concacaf Nations League match between host Montserrat and Barbados, staged Monday, November 20, 2023.
