St Vincent and the Grenadines will make its debut in Archery competitions, when six archers will compete in the fifth edition of the Caribbean Development Championships (CDC) to be held in Trinidad & Tobago from September 29 – October 1, 2023.

Deemed as historic, as St Vincent and the Grenadines in 2021, launched Archery as a sport here.

Six archers in four different categories will seek honours in the championships .

Marese Burgin, Mariel Burgin, Richol Richards, who are in the Senior Women’s category, as well as Divya Jiandani in the Under-18 Women, make up the female contingent.

The team is completed by two males – Ian Gibson – Senior Men and Jared Nichols – Under-21 Men.

Head Coach of the team is Sanjay Jiandani, who is also the President of the Archery Association of St Vincent and the Grenadines.

The CDC was developed by World Archery to allow beginners and intermediate archers throughout the Caribbean and North America by extension to be able to compete at a higher level.
