The workshop, conducted by the Caribbean Association of National Olympic Committees (CANOC) in collaboration with the International Association of Sport for All (TAFISA) and the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) focused on facilitating the development of more young women at the leadership level in Sport and Physical Activity for All (SAPA).
The main facilitators of the workshop were Catherine Forde and Game Mothibi, who delved into topics such as the state of Sport for all in the Caribbean, Communication, Marketing and Public Relations in the Sport for All Physical Activity(SAPA) Movement, as well as Mentoring and role modelling with the SAPA sector.
An integral part of the workshop was the development of Sports for All projects which all participants are expected to implement in their respective countries within the next 12 months.
Apart from the implementation, participants will be mentored and their projects monitored.
Additionally, the various National Olympic Committees or their Commonwealth Games Federations will submit quarterly reports to CANOC on the progress of the projects.
