Sixteen new records set at 2023 Inter-Primary Champs

Sixteen new records were established at the 2023 St Vincent and the Grenadines Inter-Primary Schools Athletics Champions which were held at the Sir Vincent Beache Stadium on Wednesday, March 29, 2023.

Katriel Bailey of the Kingstown Preparatory School set a new Girls’ 11-15 high jump mark of 1.35 metres, while Keverson Kydd of the Paget Farm Government School set a new Boys 9-10 high jump record of 1.20 metres.

Azaliah Richards of the Questelles Government School ran a new time of 24.36 seconds in the Girls 7-8 150 metres; Joneilia Alexander of the Stephanie Browne Primary School set a new Girls 11-15 300 metres record of 44.38 seconds; while Omarion Ballantyne of the Questelles Government School clocked 47.60 seconds to set a new Boys 9-10 300 metres record.

The Paget Farm Government School set a new time of 1 minute 52.47 seconds in the Boys 11-15 4×200 metres relay; the Questelles Government School ran 44.26 seconds to establish a new Boys 11-15 4×80 metres relay record; while the Kingstown Preparatory School with a time of 45.35 seconds set a new Girls 11-15 4×80 meters relay record.

In the Girls 7-8 4×80 metres relay, the Lauders Primary School ran a new time of 53.17 seconds; while in the Girls 4-6 4×50 metres relay, the Questelles Government School set a new time of 38.99 seconds.

Mark Dells of the Buccament Government School ran a new Boys 9-10 300 metres record of 47.60 seconds; while Chrisroy Stowe of the Paget Farm Government ran new record times of 18.49 seconds in the Boys 11-15 150 metres, and 10.31 seconds in the Boys 11-15 80 metres.

Joneilia Alexander of the Stephanie Browne Primary School ran 11.21 seconds to set a new record in the Girls 11-15 80 metres; TJ McKie of the Fitz Hughes Government School set a new time of 2 minutes 29.24 seconds in the Boys 4-15 800 metres; and in the Girls 4-15 600 metres, Dellesia Stay of the Canouan Government School established a new record when she ran 1 minute 53.17 seconds.
