Bishops College Kingstown buries St Joseph Convent Marriaqua in 13 goals
The Junior Football team of the Bishops College, Kingstown broke its 6-0 record against an opponent when it handed a 13-1 clobbering to the St Joseph’s Convent Marriaqua.
The match, played on Wednesday, October 19 was one of the games in the Junior Inter-Secondary Schools Football Tournament and the team feels confident they will advance to the next level of the tournament.
“We feel good about the game, we have to improve more things, we have to get more communication,” vice captain, Gabriel Doyle told SEARCHLIGHT.
“We had a lack of communication, we didn’t really penetrate the ball very well and I want us to go on and win the tournament.”
Doyle said the St Joseph’s Convent Marriaqua was an easy walk over.
And captain, Joenaldo Payne, added “As we go on with the other teams, we hope we could set another record.”
Jaymor Williams scored six of the goals for Bishops College, the highest score of that day and also the recent record.
Gabriel scored five goals, with the other two coming from the boot of Tyrique Duncan.
