Individuals record triple figures at swim championships
Five swimmers , each recorded over 100 points at the just concluded Gallagher Invitational Swimming Championships.
Those who were in a dominant mood during the four days of the championships held at the Shrewsbury Aquatic Centre at Ratho Mill, were Belle Adams, Jadon Hamilton, Eltonique Leonard, Jamie Joachim and Brandon George.
Adams and Hamilton, both of Blue Marlins , registered 108 and 111 points, respectively. Adams won the 9 to 10 females and Hamilton took the males 9 to 10 age category.
Leonard won the females 11 to 12 with 104 points; Joachim took the females 13 to 14, as she tallied 104 points and George’s 106 points , helped him to the males 13 to 14 title.
Leonard, Joachim and George, are all members of the Black Sand Swim Squad.
Among others who champed their respective age categories were Skyler Byron, Taj Henry, Tyler Robinson, Abigail De Shong and Kenale Alleyne.
Byron and Henry of Blue Marlins, won the females and males 8 and Under respectively. Robinson took the male 11 to 12; De Shong the female 15 and over, and Alleyne the male 15 and over.
The Sprint Champions top performers were:
Females 8 & Under , Skylar Byron; Males 8 and Under , Taj Henry; Females 9 to 12, Tayeah St Hillaire ( Blue Marlins); Males 9 to 12 – Dennis Sutherland (Rising Stars Swim Team); Females13 and Over, Kennice Greene ( Black Sand Swim Squad) and Males 13 and Over, Kenale Alleyne.
