Warrican stars in SVGCC cricket competition

IRVIN WARRICAN Jr. was the stand out performer in the 2021 SVG Community College Invitational T/10 Cricket competition.

When this year’s edition ended last Friday at the Arnos Vale Two Playing Field, Warrican who steered the Division of Arts, Science and General Studies to the title, collected the award for the highest individual score (72). He also scored the most runs (154) and was adjudged the competition’s MVP. To add to his trophy, Warrican was the player of the final, and was his team’s MVP.

Meanwhile, Desroy Hooper of Future Legends had the best bowling figures of 6 for 18, versus DASGS.

Kyle Bobb of South Windward was the best all-rounder; Jahiel Walters of South Windward, best wicketkeeper and Eric Richardson, best fielder.

Also rewarded were the MVPs of each of the other five participating teams.

For the Division of Technical and Vocational Education, the recipient was Tishakif Patterson, while Watson Seaton was the awardee for BSS Warriors. Taking the award for South Windward was Kyle Bobb, while Jules Anthony Future Legends’s awardee was Kalique Bowens.

Kirtney Franklyn took the award for Jules Anthony Future Stars.
