Roban breaks male junior national 800m record again

Handal Roban, continues to shave time off the St Vincent and the Grenadines male 800m Under-20 record.

Competing for the Jamaica College at last Thursday’s Jamaica Athletics Administrative Association Senior and Junior National Championships, in the Under -20 category, at the Jamaica National Stadium, Roban achieved the new record of 1:49.82 in his heat. Because he is a non-national, Roban was unable to enter the final.

In the process, he bettered the 1:49: 94 clocking, done on June 5 at the Jamaica Olympic Association Destiny Meet.

Meanwhile, Uroy Ryan continued his good form being ranked 2nd in the Under-18 Long Jump, with a leap of 7.31m.
