National cricket programme postponed indefinitely

The St Vincent and the Grenadines Cricket Association Inc. has postponed the 2021 national cricket season indefinitely.

In a letter signed by the association’s General Secretary, dated June 14, to inform clubs, it stated: “The St. Vincent and the Grenadines Cricket Association Inc. regrets to inform you that due to the upsurge in the Covid-19 cases locally, all local cricket tournaments have been postponed indefinitely”.

The letter added, “The Association will keep you updated on any changes which will lead to a possible starting date”.
The season was set to open in January, however, a spike of coronavirus here in December last year, led to the initial postponement.
