Windward Islands Volcanoes seeking new head coach

THE WINDWARD Islands Volcanoes’ franchise is seeking to have the post of head coach filled.

And, persons wishing to be considered have until this Friday, June 11, 2021, to send their applications to the Chief Executive Officer of the Windwards Cricket Inc., Grenada National Stadium, Grenada.

According to a release from the franchise, duly qualified coaches who are seeking to fill the post, must have a level three Cricket West Indies certificate or a Cricket Australia Level three or a level four England and Wales Cricket Board Coaching Certificate, and at least five years of experience coaching at the senior level.

The franchise noted that the successful applicant will be responsible for the development of training programmes. teaching game concepts, oversee drills, provide group and one- on-one instruction; player development and
reporting on players’ overall progress.

Once chosen, the new coach will replace Jamaican Andrew Richardson, whose contract reports say, was not renewed.

The selected head coach has to prepare to reside in Grenada, the base of the Windward Islands Volcanoes’ franchise.
