A NEW CHAMPION will be crowned in the SVG Cricket Association Inc.’s Neil Williams 20/20 cricket competition.

This after the 2018 and 2019 champions- FLOW Rivals were stopped by Police Two at the Park Hill Playing Field, as the quarter finals took place last Sunday.

Dillon Douglas- 68, Rickford Walker 44 and Sylvan Spencer 24 not out, saw Police Two to 188/8 from their 20 overs. Olanzo Jackson took 3/36 and Kensley Joseph- 2/45.

Rivals- 124/8 from their 20 overs; Deighton Butler- 34 not out. Kesrick Williams had 2/15 and Nigel Small- 2/35. Police Two won by 64 runs.

Joining Police Two into the semi-finals were Victors One, Guardian General Saints and FLOW Radcliffe.

Victors One defeated North Windward Combine by five wickets at the Sion Hill Playing Field.

North Windward Combine posted 129/9 from their 20 overs; Sealron Williams – 46 and Braxie Browne- 27.

Bowling for Victors One, Solomon Bascombe had 3/20, Kimson Dalzell- 3/21 and his twin brother- Kemson Dalzell- 3/28.

Atticus Browne then scored 35 to lead Victors One to 132/5 in 19 overs. Meshack Williams was North Windward Combine’s most successful bowler, taking 3/13.

Meanwhile, at the Arnos Vale One Playing Field, Saints ousted Carlos James MSDA Jules Anthony Northern Stars by seven wickets.

Northern Stars – 101/7 from 16 overs, as the match was reduced. Leeshawn Lewis- 53. Geron Wyllie scalped 3/15, bowling for Saints.

Sunil Ambris- 45 not out and Jahiel Walters- 32, led Saints’ reply of 105/3 in 13.2 overs.

And, there was another seven wicket win, this time at the Sion Hill Playing Field, as lasrt year’s losing finalist- Radcliffe, again made it to the last four.

Selwick Caine led Police One’s total of 90/8 from 17.2 overs, as he hit 32.

Bowling for Radcliffe-Rasheed

Fredericks- 2 for no wicket; Asif Hooper- 2/ 12 and Othniel Lewis-2/22.

Shammon Hooper – 41 not out and Romano Pierre – 28, shepherded Radcliffe to 101/3 in 13.5 overs.
