Four teams notch wins in Greiggs softball cricket weekend

Sion Hill Tallawahs, CGM Gallagher Novice, Country Meet Town Outa Trouble and RSVG Police, were all victorious in last weekend’s fixtures of the Caesar’s Real Estate, Hairoun Beer, FLOW, Nar Fren Dem Greiggs T/20 competition, at the Greiggs Central Playing Field.

On Saturday, Sion Hill Tallawahs beat Ninja Eleven by 4 wickets.

 Ninja Eleven scored 79 all out in 16.3 overs.  Donaldson Harry took 3 for 7. Sion Hill Tallawahs replied with 83 for 6 in 9.5 overs. Denson Hoyte scored 33, while Darry Henry took 2 for19 and Paris Lavia had 2 for 32.

In Sunday’s first match, Novice outplayed Challengers by 36 runs.

Novice posted 161 for 5 from their 20 overs. Renrick Williams hit 44 and Daron Henry, 30.

Bowling for Challengers, Roneke James took 2 for 23 and Keithlyn Williams, 2 for 33.

Challengers replied with 125 all out in 19.4 overs. Javon Seales topscored with 52. Newbornne Joseph took 4 for 18.

 Then Outa Trouble had a nine-wicket win over Log Enterprises Supreme Strikers.

 Supreme Strikers made 56 all out in 13.5 overs, as Davian Barnum bagged 5 for 13.

Richie Richards, who scored 19 not out and Sunil Ambris, 15 not out, guided Outa Trouble to 59 for 1 in 8.5 overs.

And, RSVG Police arrested Just For the Fun, and subdued them by 130 runs.

Police scored 194 for 5 from their 20 overs, with Kenroy Martin making 58, Mathis Humphrey, 37, Andrew Thomas, 32 not out and Elmore Alexander, 31.

Junis Corridon took 2 for 33 for Just For The Fun, who then were dismissed for 64 in 11 overs.

 Sebastien Davis made 28. Elmore Alexander took 4 for 23 and Osrick James, 2 for 3.
