Dember, Jeremiah top Windward Islands bowling/batting statistics
Vincentian off-spinner Kenneth Dember and Grenadian middle order batsman Johann Jeremiah, topped the bowling and batting statistics, respectively, in the 2019 senior Windward Islands cricket tournament which ended here last Wednesday.
Dember scalped 14 wickets from his three matches, in which he bowled in four innings. Dember’s tally of wickets came at a cost of 17.64 runs each. He had two five-wicket hauls.
Following Dember were Denis George of Grenada and Larry Edward of St Lucia, who both took 10 wickets, with Imran Joseph of Grenada taking 8 wickets.
Meanwhile, Jeremiah gathered 198 runs from his four innings, with a highest score of 99.
JeHe finished with an average of 49.5 runs per innings.
The leading batsman’s tally of runs was just eight more than St Lucia’s Junior Henry’s 191.
Trailing Henry was Grenada’s Denis Smith with 188 and Vincentian Desron Maloney with 171.
The tournament produced five centuries. Four were scored by Vincentians Smith, Henry, Maloney and Keron Cottoy of St Vincent and the Grenadines, and one by Dominican Allick Athanaze.
The five triple-figure individual scores, were ramped up by 18 half centuries.
