Outa Trouble reigns in Dauphine too

Country Meet Town Outa Trouble, last Sunday at the Dauphine Playing Field, laid hands on another softball cricket title, this time, the National Lotteries Authority TBPO 20/20 competition.
An uncomplicated 65-run win over Sion Hill Tallawahs gave Outa Trouble their second title in a row, as they also took the Greiggs title a fortnight ago.

In Sunday’s grand finale, Outa Trouble batted first and posted 133 for 5 from their 20 overs. Mickel Mapp scored 47, Saski Weekes, 27 and Davian Branum, 21.

Sion Hill Tallawahs’ response was below par, as their potent batting misfired, to be dismissed for 68 in 14 overs.

Kenron Williams, who took 3 for 13, Wesrick Straugh, 3 for 17 and Richie Richards, 2 for 23, ensured that Outa Trouble had much to smile about.

As a new champion was crowned on Sunday, former winner of the competition, Gairy’s Construction Simple Boys, ended on a high note, by taking the third place.

Facing Nice Radio Clinchers on Saturday, Simple Boys made 182 for 6 in 20 overs.

Stein Joseph scored 55, Eldon Morris, 26, Travis Cumberbatch, 22 not out and Kentish Phillips, 20.

Bowling for Clinchers, Okeiph Andrews took 2 for 20.

Okeiph Andrews then made 38, but his team crumbled for 85 all out in 11.2 overs.

Stein Joseph took 3 for 13 and Asborne Franklyn, 2 for 12, to be Simple Boys’ best bowlers.

MVP of the competition- Davian Barnum
