Team Rivals squeezed Lime Radcliffe on Saturday at the Park Hill Playing Field to remain unblemished in this yearâs National Lotteries Authority Neil Williams Twenty/20 Cricket Competition.{{more}}
After another hold on the title, Team Rivals walked away winners by 18 runs on their neighbours Lime Radcliffe.
Casmond Walters â 51 and Deighton Butler â 26 were the main contributors in Team Rivalsâ total of 143 for 8, made off their maximum 20 overs.
Bowling for Radcliffe, Dyke Cato took 3 for 33, Westrick Straugh â 2 for 12 and Richie Richards â 2 for 31.
Radcliffeâs response terminated at 125; Romano Pierreâs 25 was the top score.
Deighton Butler completed a good all-round performance, picking off 4 for 58 and Kesrick Williams took 2 for 33.
Meanwhile, at Stubbs, Guardian General Saints also remained unbeaten, trumping over Radcliffe Too by six wickets.
Verbert King scored 52 not out, as Radcliffe Too reached 120 for 8. Saintsâ bowling saw Andrew Emtage taking 4 for 21.
Rommel Currency continued his batting form with a top score of 33; Rickford Walker made 29 and Joey Welcome â Liverpool â 28, to push Saints to 123 for 4.
At Arnos Vale Two, Victors One steamrolled Carl Joseph Law Chambers ASCO by nine wickets.
Batting first after winning the toss, ASCOâs reliant and main stay at the top of the order, Deron Greaves and Desron Maloney, fell for 0 and 1 respectively, which negated any thought of a fight.
Only Roger Gibsonâs knock of 27, which saw him hitting three fours and a six, was any score of note with the bat. ASCOâs total of 95 all out, in 17.4 overs, was aided by 22 extras.
Atticus Browne snared 3 for 16; Ray Jordan â 2 for 7, Kimson Dalzell â 2 for 16 and Norlan Williams â 2 for 20 shared the wickets for Victors One.
In reply, Atticus Browne â 35 not out and Lauron Francois shared in a second wicket stand of 88, as Victors One coasted to 99 for 1 in just 9.4 overs.
A similar tale took place at the Buccament Playing Field, as Police Two outdid iShallz Byamâs Physical Therapy by 96 runs.
Donson Andrews stroked 67, to lead Police Two to 138. Javid Harry grabbed 5 for 32, bowling for iShallz Byamâs Physical Therapy.
At their turn, iShallz Byamâs Physical Therapy were dismissed for 42, hurt by the bowling of Elmore Alexander, who grabbed 4 for 8 and Parnel Browne â 3 for 6.
And, at Sion Hill, Police One beat French Verandah SVG Community College by five wickets.
An improved batting effort saw SVG Community College to 142 for 5 from their 20 overs.
Deon Bynoe â 59 and Jeremy Layne â 36 were the Collegeâs main scorers, as there were two wickets apiece for Osrick James â 2 for 25 and Kevin Abraham â 2 for 47, bowling for Police One.
Sylvan Spencer stroked a top score of 42, as Police One crossed the line at 144 for 5.
Akeem Woods was the SVG Community Collegeâs best bowler, with 2 for 21. (RT)
