Massy United Insurance on board with U-21 Secondary Schools’ Cricket Competition
Massy United Insurance Ltd is once again providing sponsorship of the national Secondary Schoolsâ Cricket Competition 2016 within the Under-21 category. This year, the competition is divided into two categories, the Under-15 and the Under-21.{{more}}
A representative from Massy Unitedâs local agency, Ronald Iton, recently handed over the sponsorship cheque to the Ministry of Education to ensure the continuation of this major youth cricket championship. Iton commended the Ministry for its unswerving efforts in ensuring the development of this countryâs young cricketers.
Defending champions Troumaca Ontario Secondary School will match skills with 17 other secondary school teams, in their bid to reach the finals in March. The competition runs from January 29 through to March 18, 2016.
Massy United Insurance Ltd has been sponsoring this secondary schoolsâ competition in St Vincent and the Grenadines and the OECS for more than 25 years. The main objective of the Secondary School Cricket Competition is to identify talented junior cricketers, help develop their skills and serve as a nursery for the overall development of young cricketers, especially in the OECS.
This is in keeping with Massy Unitedâs commitment to the development of youth across the 15 territories in which it operates, via support of programmes which use sport to impart important life skills to our young people in the region.
