Team Rivals quest another national 20/20 cricket title

Team Rivals have already announced their intent to make it three on the trot, as holders of the National Lotteries Authority Neil Williams Twenty/20 Cricket Competition.{{more}}

An uncomplicated 169-run win over Victors Two last Saturday at Arnos Vale One was Rivals’ warning signs that they are once again the team to beat.

Asif Hooper – 91 and Marvin Small – 54, ensured that Team Rivals rattle up 217 for 3 from their 20 overs.

Kishore Shallow was the most successful bowler for Victors Two, taking 2 for 26.

Olanzo Jackson then bagged 4 for 17, including a hat-trick to send Victors Two packing for 48. Kesrick Williams chipped in with 2 for 1.

Kishore Shallow led Victors Two’s paltry reply with 22.

At the nearby Arnos Vale Two, Combine Youths scored a 26-run triumph over Police One.

Oneal Endeavour – 48 and Jeremy Haywood and Kevin Samuel – 22 apiece, were the main contributors to Combine Youths’ 137 all out.

Sylvan Spencer – 2 for 8; Kevin Abraham – 2 for 25 and Osrick James – 2 for 28 shared the wickets for Police One.

Teenaged medium pacer Shane Roberts then bagging 5 for 31 and Jeron Wyllie with 2 for 24 combined to dismiss Police One for 113.

Antonio Sunderland topscored with 34 in a losing effort for Police One.(RT)
