Set to serve off at 4 p.m., this year’s effort at Tennis For Hope is to aid the Our Lady of Guadalupe Home for Girls, which is located in Cane End, in the Marriaqua Valley.

Head man of the Grassroot Tennis Club Grant Connell explained that the postponement was due to several reasons, including the general elections, as well as some logistical hindrances.

Connell said that now the elections are out of the way, “It is now for some Tennis Love and show love for the Girls of Guadalupe… Help save a life.”

He noted that the aim remains to raise $5,000.

Connell revealed that apart from the tennis effort, the GTC is sourcing some appliances for the institution.

“I want to thank Beacon Insurance, Mustique Company, Scotia Bank, the T-Shirt Store and Finishing for their assistance thus far and the invitation is there for others with that giving spirit at this time of the year to support the event or purchase the commemorative T-shirts, which are available at my chambers in the Building and Loan Association Building,” Connell said.(RT)
