Browne, Cato top cricket awards again
For the second year on the trot, both Salvan Browne and Dyke Cato topped the batting and bowling awards respectively in the National Lotteries Authority Premier Division.{{more}}
The two were named again at last Fridayâs annual awards and presentation ceremony of the St Vincent and the Grenadines Cricket Association, held at the Murrayâs Heights Hotel.
Browne, who plays for Police Two, took again the accolade of Most Runs â 373 and LIME Radcliffeâs Cato, the Most Wickets â 49.
The right-handed Browneâs tally of runs included one century â 144, which he made versus Carl Joseph Law Chambers ASCO. His was one of eight which were scored in the competition.
Meanwhile, Cato had two instances in which he captured seven or more wickets in an innings. He achieved a haul of 8 for 41 against Victors One and reeled in 7 for 22 versus ASCO.
Taking the award for Best All-rounder was Victors Oneâs Miles Bascombe, who scored 284 runs and gathered in 16 wickets. Bascombeâs teammate Atticus Browne had the highest individual score of 147, which he attained when they met Triumph United.
Like the males, it was the same old among the females, with Juliana Nero of Garifuna Stars copping the most runs accolade for her tally of 308. She also notched up the highest individual score.
And, Samantha Lynch of United Survivors hauled in the most wickets â 10. The team titles saw Team Rivals making it four in a row in the Premier Division, with Guardian General Saints second and third was LIME Radcliffe.
The RBTT womenâs division ended in a three-way tie for United Survivors, JG Tigress and Garifuna Stars.(RT)
