Taking the third place was Vincent Fournier in one hour 24 minutes 19 seconds, to complete the top three finishers, among the over 100 competitors.

Ballantyne told SEARCHLIGHT that it was an easy course to navigate as it was “very flat”.

Citing not much competition, Ballantyne said he coasted for most of the race and did not employ much race strategy, such as “cutting the corners”.

Ballantyne, who three weeks ago took the second place in the NACAC Chatoyer 10K held here in the North Leeward area, revealed that he will be making a return to the Trinidad and Tobago Marathon early in January.

A seven-time winner of the event, Ballantyne has not contested the Trinidad Marathon for some time.(RT)
