TPBO Softball Competition nears play-off stage

The National Lotteries Authority Top Belair Progressive Organization’s Softball Cricket Competition is into the elimination stage.{{more}}

Last weekend though, Stingers won over Richmond Hill United on Saturday at the competition’s venue, the Dauphine Playing Field.

Richmond Hill batted first and made 82 for 7 in 15 overs; Rawdon Bentick struck 27.

Bowling for Stingers, Adonis Nanton took 2 for 10 and Keneal Skinner 2 for 16.

In reply, Stingers reached 88 for 2 in 11.5 overs; Adonis Nanton was 30 not out, Calbert Simon, 25 not out and Bradley Richards, 23.

Also on Saturday, Sunset Strikers won over Clinchers, who failed to show up.

But on Sunday, CGM Gallagher Novice won over Mac Lil Saints by five wickets.

Mac Lil Saints were sent into the hutch for 56 all out in 20 overs. Uroy Farrell was the pick of Novice’s bowling, taking 3 for 14; Chris King had 2 for 9 and Renrick Williams, 2 for 6.

In reply, Novice got to 58 for 5 in 8 overs; Chris King made 32. Bowling for Lil Saints, Omarie John picked up 4 for 21.

Meanwhile games two and three saw Mac Lil Saints and Richmond Hill United winning over Nar Fren Dem, who failed to show up for their intended back-to-back games.

The play-offs commence this weekend.(RT)
