Richland Park Nine-A-Side Football Competition concludes

Richland Park Pride and Joy Two emerged winners of the Richland Park Nine-A-Side Football Competition, which concluded recently at the ‘Oval’ in Richland Park.{{more}}

It, however, took kicks from the penalty spot for Pride and Joy Two to lift the title, after they and Greiggs had played to a 2-2 tie in regulation time.

Pride and Joy prevailed 4-3 in the spot kicks decider.

It was a similar case in the third place play-off for Pride and Joy Under-17 team, who got past Sparta 6-5, following a 3-3 draw.

Greiggs’ Valdo Anderson was the top goal scorer and Orlando Trimmingham of Pride and Joy Two – the best midfielder.

Downstreet United’s Shem Cato took the best defender award and Pride and Joy Two’s Anthony Hazell – the best goalkeeper.(RT)
