Sharpes United, Circumstance, Starlight win in North Leeward Cricket

Christopher Howe made 59 not out for Sharpes United, and Desron Maloney slammed 80 for Circumstance.

There were wins for Sharpes United, Circumstance and Carlos James Troumaca Starlight, as three matches were completed last weekend in the Vinlec North Leeward T20 Cricket tournament at the Petit Bordel Playing Field.{{more}}

Sharpes United, of Chateaubelair, defeated Petit Bordel Secondary School by 54 runs, while Circumstance, of Fitz-Hughes, defeated Robertson Surveying Future Legends, of Rose Hall, by two wickets. Carlos James Troumaca Starlight stopped Somerset, of Fitz-Hughes, by three wickets.

Sharpes United scored 218 for 7 off 20 overs. Christopher Howe made 59 not out, and Rellon McKie, 32. Jadeil Chance took 2 for 38, and Teron Robertson, 2 for 33.

The Petit Bordel Secondary School students replied with 164 for 9, off 20 overs. Cklan McKie scored 35. Marcus Alexander grabbed 5 for 26.

In Circumstance’s win, Robertson Surveying Future Legends scored 163 for 6 off 20 overs; Amansford Richards made 47 and Rajiv Roberts 35, not out.

Fitzmore Edwards took 3 for 25, bowling for Circumstance, and they replied with 164 for 8 off 16.4 overs. Desron Maloney slammed 80. Veaonson Stapleton took 3 for 25.

Additionally, Somerset scored 111 all out off 16.3 overs against Carlos James Starlight. Orlando Charles hit 29, Kentish John took 3 for 14, and Zemron Providence 3 for 33.

Responding, Starlight gained 113 for 7 off 13.5 overs, with Donald Delpesche top scoring with 35. Kevin Small took 4 for 21.

Four matches are set for this weekend.

This Saturday from 10 a.m., reigning champions RSVG Police will meet Coulls Hill Rangers; and from 2 p.m., Somerset will play Petit Bordel Secondary School.

Carlos James Rose Bank takes on Ajuba from 10 a.m. on Sunday, with Somerset versus Ruddy’s Electrical from 2 p.m. (RT)
