But the time and venue of the meeting will be known at a later date, as noted in a release from the SVGFF: âYou will be informed of the time and venue in a subsequent correspondence.â
Apart from the election of officers, the presidentâs report, as well as the auditorâs report and other business are listed as part of the meetingâs agenda.
However, chair of the North East Football League, and former general secretary of the SVGFF Trevor Huggins has called on affiliates to ensure that proper elections machinery is in place.
Hugginsâ correspondence to the affiliates suggested, âAn independent election committee must be set up to deal mainly with the electionâ¦. No executive member should not be allowed to manipulate such.â
Other prerequisites penned by Huggins noted, âAll nomination ballots should be sent only to this committee⦠All clubs/League should send the names of their two delegates who will have the right to voteâ¦. Persons seeking offices must be published in local newspapers along with a short bio. one week before the election.â
Huggins also called for officials from the Caribbean Football Union, CONCACAF and FIFA to be present at the September 26 general meeting.
Additionally, Huggins said he had his reservations about others administrative matters, inclusive of the auditorâs report for 2014.
âI have been involved in this process before and from my observation, the report would not be ready for the 26th,â Huggins reasoned.
He wrote, âEven though a draft copy is produced, the exo must discuss such at an executive level, before the final copy is produced⦠This report must also include the management letter.â
The current executive of the SVGFF, headed by Venold Coombs, was voted into office on September 24, 2011.
The other members of the sitting executive include Marvin Fraser â second vice-president; Elroy Boucher â third vice-president, with committee members being Dominique Stowe, Earl Bennett, Othneil Delpesche, Donald Thomas, Clemroy Francois, Dwight Roberts and Yolande London.
