Saints maintaining success course
Saints maintained their unbeaten run in the National Lotteries Authority Premier Division of the National Cricket Programme, when they took first innings points from Police Two at the Arnos Vale Two Playing Field, last weekend.{{more}}
Police Two posted 150, batting first. Leading their innings was Gosnel Cupid, who made 44. Mc Leon Williams contributed 29.
Bowling for Saints, Isaac Haywood grabbed 4 for 25; Kennroy Peters had 3 for 23 and Ray Charles took 3 for 43.
Saints responded with 201. Sunil Ambris hit 55 and Rickford Walker 33. Rolando Wright was Police Twoâs most successful bowler with 7 for 81.
Batting a second time, Police Two was 261 for 6, when the match ended.
Gosnel Cupid was again the topscorer with 59; Salvan Browne hit 56; and Elron Lewis contributed 47. Amreal Bobb claimed 4 for 34, bowling for Saints.
At the main Arnos Vale One Playing Field, Police One made amends for their senior counterparts, as they took first innings from the News Spartans.
Police One compiled 213, with Kevin Abraham making 53 and Anthony Sutherland 28.
Teron Simon was the pick of the Spartans bowling with 4 for 70.
In reply, Spartans was dismissed for 194, falling short by 19 runs. Romando Coombs struck 60, Nixon Mc Lean hit a boundary filled 45 and Darnley Joseph made 41.
Randy Yorke 4 for 18, and Kevin Abraham 4 for 36, shared the bulk of the wickets for Police One.
At the close, Police One was 47 for 2. Peter Morris was 31, not out.(RT)
