RSVG Police reach Bagga T/20 Semi-finals

Defending National Lotteries Authority Bagga T/20 Softball Cricket champions RSVG Police have moved into to the semi-finals, after an uncomplicated 191-run win last Sunday against Ruddy’s Electrical in their quarter-final encounter at the Keartons Playing Field.{{more}}

Batting first, Police posted 212 for 9 from their 20 overs, led by 56 from Saleem George. Bowling for Ruddy’s Electrical, Andre Hoyte took 3 for 34.

In reply, Rudy’s Electrical was dismissed for 31 in 7.1 overs. Rolando Wright took 3 for 10 and Kenroy Martin had 3 for 16.

Also making it through to the last four was Valley Boys, who defeated Topsidaz by 74 runs. Valley Boys chalked up 138 for 6 from their 20 overs, Romano Mc Millan scoreing 32. Bowling for Topsidaz, Sebastien Forde had 3 for 25. Topsidaz, in response, was bowled out for 64 in 19.3 overs. Romel Jack took 3 for 3, bowling for Valley Boys.

In matches played on Saturday, Suprizers and Summerset advanced to the semi-finals also.

Surprizers recorded a four-wicket win over Hairoun Warriors.

Batting first, Warriors excavated themselves from 36 for 6, to reach 105 all out in 19.3 overs, thanks to Winsbert Mapp’s 51. Godfrey Derrick had figures of 2 for 8, bowling for Surprizers.

Dillon Duncan then struck 22, as Suprizers cruised to victory in 18.4 overs.

Summerset overcame Circumstances in a North Leeward derby.

Taking first strike, Summerset, on the back of 26 from Noxell Michael, and Kevin Small’s 22, reached 100 for 7 in 20 overs. Ronique Laborde grabbed 3 for 18.

Relon Mc Kie then bagged 5 for 13, as Circumstances were shot out for 63 in 15 overs.

The semi-finals this weekend, make interesting match ups.

On Saturday from 12:30 pm Suprizers meets Valley Boys, and at 2:30 pm Police will take on Summerset. The grand finale is slated for Saturday, May 26. (RT)
