Radcliffe routs ASCO for 14 runs

OLA Boutique Radcliffe routed newly promoted ASCO for 14 runs all out, last Sunday at the Arnos Vale Two Playing Field, to record one of the lowest team totals in the history of organized Cricket{{more}} at the national level in St Vincent and the Grenadines.

Batting a second time with a deficit of 106, in the National Lotteries Authority Premier Division match, ASCO’s demise came at the bowling arms of Andy Harper, who grabbed 4 for 1 and Dellorn Johnson, who picked up 4 for 7.

ASCO had made 155 in their first innings, replying to Radcliffe’s 261. Rajiv Roberts hit a topscore of 22.

Bowling for Radcliffe, Dyke Cato snared 5 for 56 and Andy Harper 3 for 33.

In Radcliffe’s only innings, Andy Harper scored 75 not out; Verbert King struck 62 and Dellorn Johnson made 34.

Andre Hunte, with 5 for 67 and Travis Cumberbatch, 2 for 68, were ASCO’s most successful bowlers.

Radcliffe won the match by an innings and 92 runs, rebounding from an earlier loss to Saints.

Saints takes first innings from Rivals

Saints recorded a first innings win over Team Rivals at Arnos Vale One.

Saints, with one of their better starts for many years, posted 115 batting first. Rosario Matthews was the topscorer with 26, as Olanzo Jackson bagged 5 for and Asif Hooper took 3 for 20.

Team Rivals in their response was dismissed for 75. Asif Hooper made 32.

The principal wicket takers for Saints were Kenroy Peters with 4 for 18, Amreal Bobb 3 for 6 and Romario Bibby 3 for 27.

Saints, batting a second time, declared at 152 for 9, when the match was called off.

Timothy Warner was not out on 31 and Kenroy Peters also contributed 31.

Kesrick Williams had 3 for 33, Olanzo Jackson 3 for 57 and Deighton Butler had 2 for 36, as Team Rivals stumbled for the first time this season, having recorded two previously convincing outright wins. (RT)
