National Senior Squash titles decided

The 2012 National Squash Singles Championships closed off last Saturday afternoon at the National Lotteries Authority Squash Centre at Paul’s Avenue.{{more}}

Taking the Men’s Open was Jules Snagg, ahead of Kevin Hannaway, with Kevin Bailey docking in third.

In Pool B of the Men’s Open, Collin Alexander was the winner. The runner up spot went to Raffique Browne and the third spot was taken by Steve Ollivierre.

Amber Glasgow pouched the Women’s Open, with Greta Primus second and third was Tessa Shallow-King.

Securing the Men’s Over-40 was James Bentick; Collin Alexander was second and third was Steve Ollivierre.

New champion Telbert Samuel copped the Men’s 50 and over category, with Leroy Lewis in second spot.

Keith Boyea, a former winner of that age group, placed third.

Thirty-five players participated in the tournament which began last Thursday.

Several of the players will now form the St Vincent and the Grenadines team for the OECS Championships, set for Tortola, the British Virgin Islands, later this month. (RT)
