Hope edges out System 3

Hope International secured a one nil victory over System 3 in last weekend’s highlight fixture of the Premier Division of the National Lotteries Authority National Club Football Championships, played at the Victoria Park.{{more}}

Paul Farrell scored the goal in the 61st minute, which gave Hope the win at the expense of the 2009/10 runner-up, System 3.

This victory positioned Hope among the front runners.

In other Premier Division fixtures, Thaddeus Velox hit a brace, which helped Je Belle overcome Pastures 2-1. Pastures’ goal came from the boot of Wendell Cuffy.

Also title chasers, GTM Prospect won Toni Stores Jugglers three nil, with Lezlo Mc Kenzie scoring a hattrick.

Toni Store Jugglers had earlier, on Friday evening, defeated Edge Solution Camdonia Chelsea 2-1. Omoro Harrington and Bevan Burgin scored for Jugglers with Odanza Dennie scoring for Chelsea.

The other Premier Division match saw K & R Strikers defeating Predators 4-3. Nicholas Ollivierre scored a double, while Damari Fairbaine and Osmal Millington scored one each for K & R Strikers.

Caldrick Ferdinand scored a brace and Kimron Samuel the other for Predators.

Avenues defeated Stingers 13 nil.

The other intended match in the First Division resulted in easy points for Parkside Rollers, as they won by default from Highlanders. (RT)
