Reigning National Lotteries Authority National Club Championships winners, Avenues United, is maintaining their grip on the 2010-2011 Premier Division, as they remain unbeaten in the competition thus far.{{more}}

Last Sunday night, they came up against the sturdy and robust GTM Prospect United and came out triumphant, three goals to one at the Victoria Park.

Scoring for Avenues were Romano Snagg, Lamont Hector and Kyle Ragguette with one goal apiece. Reginald Payne replied for Prospect.

Also on Sunday night, System 3 swamped GTM Zodiac, nine goals to one.

Norrell George with four goals, Kishorn Gonsalves and Lex Olliver with two goals each, and a single strike from Antonio Douglas completed the rout. Collin Blugh netted Zodiac’s lone goal.

It was Zodiac ‘s second heavy defeat on the weekend, as they were hammered 6-3 by K & R Strikers.

Emery Bailey led K & R Strikers with a hat-trick. Osmal Millington had two and Delwon Jordon, the other. Michael Ollivierre, Mikel Ollivierre and Colin Blugh scored one each for the Bequia-based Zodiac

Completing the weekend of football action, Nemwil Hope International on Friday last defeated Predators five goals to nil. Dorian Dallaway scored twice, with Juma Gilkes, Rohan Keizer and Nicoli Williams converting one each.

Digicel Jebelle FC and Toni Store Jugglers played to a goalless draw in the other Premier Division fixture.

In a First Division fixture, also played on the weekend, Parkside Rollers and Carib Warriors played to a one all draw. Antuen Bruce scored for Parkside Rollers while Kemron Osment netted for Carib Warriors. (RT)
