Those participating are Athletics, Basketball, Boxing, Cricket, Football, Rugby, Table Tennis, Tennis and Volleyball .

The event, which was set for last Sunday, had to be postponed to this Sunday because of the passage of Hurricane Tomas.

It will run from 9: 30 am to 4 pm.

Among the events planned is a series of races organized by the SVG Cycling Union outside Arnos Vale Two. The cycling races will be crowned off by a road race from Arnos Vale to Calliaqua and back to Arnos Vale.

Dubbed a “Family Affair”, the All Sports Programme will see other sporting disciplines participating.

Meanwhile, the Road Racing and Cross Country Commission of Team Athletics will continue its calendar of events with the hosting of a road race. The race will take runners from the Arnos Vale Playing Field, up the Vigie Highway, on to the Fountain main road, then through the Villa/Fountain road, and back to the Arnos Vale Playing Field.

Head of the Road Racing and Cross Country Commission Leroy Llewellyn told SEARCHLIGHT that the race will be different to the ones held earlier this year, as there will be no registration fee, and runners will be presented with complimentary running vests.

Llewellyn said that apart from the road race, there will be a ‘Kids in Athletics’ session.

Basketball is expected to feature 3×3 matchups, with youngsters engaged in small sided games, while Boxing will put on some exhibition bouts among national boxers.

Cricket, which is ongoing, will continue to host the National Lotteries Authority Neil Williams T/20 competition at various venues, with Rugby having scrimmages, and Football, a Five A Side Small Goal competition. The sports of Table Tennis and Tennis will stage singles and doubles play, interspersed with some coaching drills, while Volleyball will have some exhibition matches.

Also part of the day’s activities will be board games such as Draughts, Dominoes and Chess, among others.(RT)
