Imperial scored a win, but Middlesex was not that enterprising.

Imperial, with a solid start of 151 not out from former Windwards opening batman Kester Sylvester, racked up 278 for 7 in 35 overs. Orien Bostic scored 37 and Dexter Corbin 29 not out.

Abda Shah took 3 for 50 and Awais Butt 2 for 29, bowling for Shaheen.

At their turn at the wicket, Shaheen’s innings stopped at 245 for 8 in 35 overs.

Raza Mohammed’s 50 not out and Danny Muza’s 33 was not enough to spare Shaheen from the 33 runs defeat.

Devane Warner bagged 3 for 48 and Byron Mars took 2 for 36.

Meanwhile, Middlesex had no response for Carriacou.

Batting first, Carriacou totalled 246 for 8 wickets from their 35 overs.

Rupert Charles topscored with 71, Devon Jones 35 not out, John Alexander 29 and Ronald Norton 25.

Middlesex’s Daren Denis was the most successful bowler with 4 for 54.

Replying, Middlesex could only muster 170 all out, 76 runs shy of Carriacou’s score.

Jacob Emmanuel’s 38, Sherwin Lyttle’s 36 not out and Joseph Ledwridge’s 20, were Middlesex’s main contributors with the bat.

Devon Jones’ 4 for 26, Gilbert Phillips’ 3 for 34 did the work with ball for Carriacou. (RT)
