Radcliffeâs Captain Linden James slammed 101 not out, including 8 sixes and 4 fours. It was Jamesâs second triple-figure score for the season.
Openers Verbert King, 55, and Wayne Harper, 41, were the other top contributors with the bat, as Radcliffe posted 279 for 5 declared.
Young fast bowler Kesrick Williams took 3 for 74, bowling for MVC Rivals.
Rivals batted first and made 150, with Deighton Butler making 34 and Roland Wilkinson, 32. Dellorn Johnson, 3 for 35, Mahlon John, 2 for 53, Dyke Cato, 2 for 11, and James, wicketkeeper cum slow medium bowler, carried a knee injury which affected his wicket keeping, took 2 for 14.
Batting a second time and behind by 129, Rivals held on to be 134 for 8.
Veteran players Butler and Joseph Carrington successfully navigated most of the mandatory 15 overs to ward off Radcliffeâs bowling attack, which was without the incisive and clever Cato.
Butler compiled 52 and national Under-15 Captain Kadier Nedd made 22.
Johnson snared 3 for 48 and Drumo Toney, 3 for 21.
Both Radcliffe and the News Spartans finished with 76 points, to be joint winners.
The other scheduled fixture in the Premier Division saw Irie Travel Packers winning by default from Victors One.
The next item on the agenda in the Premier Division comes at the other end as long standing club Eat Rite Saints and 2006 champions Police Two, moreso the former, try to avoid the unfortunate indignity of being relegated.
Police Two faces out of the woods Irie Travel Packers in the last match of the Premier agenda. This match will be played some time following the test match between West Indies and Bangladesh.(RT)
