Veterans wins Calliaqua Softball tournament

The Arnos Vale veterans are the inaugural winners of the Dr Linton Lewis Calliaqua Area development softball tournament which concluded last Sunday at the Calliaqua Playing Field.

The veterans put the icing on a dominant performance in the tournament which saw them going through unbeaten by whipping the Unit One team. Batting first, Unit One made 65 all out in their allotted 20 overs and Veterans cruised through on 66-4 in 15 overs.{{more}}

In the third place playoff Fairhall Falcons picked off Glen United in what was a lopsided affair. Falcons amassed a massive 173-6 in their 20 overs and proceeded to skittle out Glen United for 69.

The competition had 12 participating teams.
