Centuries in the Vinlec North Leeward Senior Cricket competition are occuring with regularity. As if to ensure that his name is included among the century makers, Rongel Small blasted 132 last Saturday at Petit Bordel. {{more}} His innings propelled Peto Stars to 335 for 4 off 37 overs. Tishaun Lavia 51 and Nicholas Williams 48 contributed to Peto’s cause.

Then, Williams with a 5 for 18 completed a fine all round performance to ensure Peto Stars’ victory. Smokey was dismissed for 124 off 23 overs.

The following day, Ajuba One beat Somerset by 83 runs. Bolstered by Federal Jeffrey 54 and Conroy ‘Abujah’ Ryan 52, Ajuba One scored 231 all out off 43.2 overs. Kenneth Lewis 4 for 46 was the pick of the Somerset bowling.

Gemil Jeffrey 5 for 74 was the destroyer of the Somerset innings.

Eight teams have advanced to the quarterfinal stage carded to get going July 10. Those teams are Peto Stars, D’Affairs, Troumaca United Smokey in Group One and Ajuba One, Ajuba Two, Enforcers and Somerset in Group two.
