Sion Hill led in all quarters, 14-13,28-24,42-37, to blow away their opponents in the last period to win comfortably 58-46.

Joanna Christopher, although not up to her usual high standards, sank 49 from her 61 attempts, with her Goal Attack Sandra Carrington scoring 9 from 15.

For Maple, Skiddy Crick registered 34 from 43 and the evergreen Thelma Foster, 12 from 26.

Maple’s loss pushed them to the third spot. Sion Hill and Maple sandwiched Mitres into the second position.

Sion Hill eased past an energetic Mitres team 46-43 last week Thursday, in a highly charged and physical encounter.

A late fourth quarter charge by Sion Hill cancelled out a 39-36 lead established by Mitres in the third quarter.

Again it was Christopher, registering 40 from 43 attempts and Carrington, 6 from 11.

Nicole Sandy, returning from her basketball scholarship scored 11 from 12, Geshell Peters, 14 from 23 and Heather Dunbar, 18 from 23.

While the Division One competition has been decided, the other divisions are yet to establish a clear winner.

Central Medical Mitre Sonics have nosed ahead in the Under-16, with Division 3 leaders Young Ballers seeking to maintain their winning ways.

Roy’s Inn TRAC head Division 2B, with Valley Netters leading Division 2A.
